Our Cancellation Policy: Clear Terms, Fair Notice

We understand that travel plans can change. This page summarises the cancellation terms that apply to bookings made through Explore on Bike (operated by BGP Noleggio Srl). The specific notice period applicable to your booking is always confirmed on the relevant tour page before checkout and takes precedence over the general terms below.
Standard cancellation window
Unless a different window is indicated on the tour page, you are entitled to a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.
Adverse weather
If severe weather conditions (e.g. storms or official safety warnings) compromise the safe running of the tour, the Local Operator or the Company may cancel it. In that case, you will be offered, at your choice, a full refund or an alternative date — regardless of the standard cancellation window above.
Optional weather insurance
If you purchase the optional Weather Insurance add-on at checkout, your cancellation window is extended: you may cancel up to 10 hours before departure for a full refund, irrespective of the actual weather conditions on the day.
Partner confirmation & card authorization
Some tours require the local operator to confirm availability after you book. For those bookings: • When you complete checkout, we authorize the booking total on your payment card. This is a temporary hold — not a charge. • If the operator accepts within 35 hours, we capture the payment and confirm your booking. • If the operator declines, or does not respond within 35 hours, the authorization is cancelled automatically and nothing is charged. • If an operator declines but suggests alternative dates, we email you links to book a new date. The exact authorization and capture timing is shown at checkout before you pay.
Where the exact terms apply
Because tours are delivered by independent local partners, exact notice periods can vary by destination and operator. The applicable cancellation window, together with any weather guarantee, is always stated on the individual tour page prior to purchase; that page's terms govern your specific booking.
