Porto Riverside by E-Bike: Ribeira to the Atlantic

You'll start in Ribeira, Porto's UNESCO-listed historic heart, riding past the city's iconic two-level iron bridge and hearing the story of the Rabelo boats that once carried Port wine down the Douro. From there, the route climbs gently into Miragaia for elevated river views and a taste of the city's Roman roots, before opening up completely at Foz do Douro, where the river meets the sea. The coastline that follows is full of surprises: the striking Arrábida Bridge, the postcard-perfect fishing village of São Pedro da Afurada, the tranquil Calém Garden, and two historic forts that once defended Porto's shores — Fortaleza São João Baptista and the Fort of St. Francis Xavier. The ride winds down at City Park, Porto's largest green space, stretching all the way to the ocean. Flat terrain, sea breezes, and a guide filling in the history along the way — this is Porto at its most relaxed.
