The task was to refresh the visual look for all web graphic elements and TV set graphics for CityNews, working within a larger team of creatives. This multi-month project involved adapting graphics developed for television to work across static mediums such as the website, social media, and email. The design was inspired by the broadcast elements, which contained the master visual design system.

My challenge was to translate the motion designs from the broadcast elements into static media. The approach taken was to develop 'freeze-frames' from broadcast and rework them for the various aspect ratios. A system was created for positioning and sizing key elements, offering flexibility for various formats.

The project resulted in the development of hundreds of creative pieces. Beyond the website graphic updates it also included laptop skins, email tiles, social media templates and even some broadcast layouts for the weather.
