KiSS SUDBURY

I was asked to help develop digital and OOH creative for KiSS Sudbury's summer campaign. The list of deliverables included OOH Signage, Social Media (headers and posts), along with IAB Banner ads. The design was to be bold and punchy with a bit of a retro-vibe linking back to the stations mix of music from 90's til now. The image of the giant Sudbury nickel also tied back to the towns most iconic landmark. To get the distressed look I was after, I first designed the text in illustrator, printed it out, roughed it up a little bit, then photographed it so it could be brought into photoshop then converted to a desaturated-bitmap image allowing for colouring in illustrator. There are a quite a few steps involved, but it creates a more natural distressed look that is harder to achieve using photoshop effects.
