Rome's Icons by E-Bike, with a Secret Cave Tasting

Glide by the Spanish Steps, one of Rome's most recognisable meeting points. Your guide picks out the details most visitors walk straight past.

The ride begins along the Tiber, Rome's ancient river. The cycle path keeps you away from traffic as the city opens up around you — a calm, scenic start before the landmarks arrive.

Pause at Tiber Island, the only natural island in Rome's stretch of the river. It has been a place of healing since antiquity and remains one of the city's most atmospheric corners.

Ride through Rome's Jewish Ghetto, one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world. Your guide brings its layered history to life — from ancient origins to the present day.

Roll into Campo de' Fiori, where one of Rome's liveliest street markets fills the square each morning with produce, flowers, and the noise of daily Roman life.

This is the centrepiece of the tour. You'll descend into a cave carved inside Monte Testaccio — a hill built from millions of ancient Roman amphorae — where a spread of Lazio cheeses, cured meats, and wine awaits you in the naturally cool dark.

Cross into Trastevere and stop at Piazza Trilussa, a neighbourhood square named after Rome's beloved dialect poet. It's the kind of place locals linger — unhurried, genuine, and easy to love.

Cross Ponte Sisto, a Renaissance bridge built on the foundations of an ancient Roman crossing. From its midpoint, the view along the Tiber is one of the finest in the city.

Piazza Navona is Rome at its most theatrical — three baroque fountains, ochre facades, and a square that has been the heart of city life for centuries. Your guide shares what lies beneath the spectacle.

Ride past the great circular bulk of Castel Sant'Angelo, originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian and later transformed into a papal fortress. Two thousand years of Roman power in a single structure.

Approach St Peter's Basilica from the outside and take in the sheer scale of Bernini's colonnade and Michelangelo's dome. Your guide frames the history behind the spectacle.

The Pantheon has been in continuous use for nearly two thousand years — longer than almost any building on earth. Ride past its portico and let your guide tell you why its unreinforced concrete dome still stands.

The tour rounds out at Piazza del Popolo, the great northern gateway to the city. Twin baroque churches frame the square, and the views back towards the centre make it a fitting final stop.
